The Terror of Failure

There is an idolization and idealization of perfection put onto anyone "public facing" who says they are a Christian. When they inevitably show their humanity, we don't know how to handle it other than writing them off or canceling them. We are called to become more like Jesus, however, we have made no room for humanity, for reality, for walking alongside those who are honest with their struggles.

The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." 1 Samuel 16:7 NIV
