What it’s Like to Live in Iowa (Part 2)

Oh, Internet, you do not disappoint.

My favorite thing about writing a video description is being ahead of the worst people on the planet.

This goes back to before “Canned Pumpkin Guy” was a thing, where I wrote a description saying “this video is fake,” and then uploaded the short to the world at large.

Did announcing the video was fake prevent the dumbest people there are from believing it was real?

Nope!

That’s just how stupid people are.

With yesterday’s “What it’s like to live in Iowa” segment, I figured there’d be some cries about race, gender, and politics, and thankfully, people came through.

Instead of simply enjoying a nice little video about good neighbors, they took it upon themselves to cry and whine about their own situation.

Because, when you’re powerless in your own life—be it because you’re in a loveless/unhappy marriage, or stuck in a dead end job—you use the resources you have available to feel big.

And sometimes that’s leaving unnecessary comments online.

Makes me laugh every.

Single.

Time.
