Trying To Turn My Liberal Mother (it's not going great)

Just an example of what it's like attempting to have an adult conversation, and how I can't seem to make any progress towards helping my Mom see my side of things. She's claimed I'm in a cult, I'm also pretty sure she believes I'm a racist for my feelings on illegal immigration.
