Still Water

Still Water

No ripples, no rush
Just the hush beneath the hush
I sit with what I can't outrun
And call it peace when it's begun

And though the world keeps spinning fast
I find myself where shadows last

I am still water in the light
Not loud, but holding something right
Don’t need to crash to make a sound
I find my strength in staying down
Calm and deep, I carry weight
With quiet grace, I bend, not break

You won't see fire in my eyes
But there's warmth I don’t disguise
Not every storm needs thunder's name
Some rain just whispers through the pain

And I don’t chase what doesn’t stay
I just let silence guide my way

I am still water in the light
Not loud, but holding something right
Don’t need to crash to make a sound
I find my strength in staying down
Calm and deep, I carry weight
With quiet grace, I bend, not break

Stillness doesn’t mean I’m lost
Sometimes pause is worth the cost
I’m not fading, I’m just slow
And in that space, I start to grow

I am still water in the light
Softly seen, but holding tight
Don’t need to shine to feel alive
Sometimes the quiet ones survive
Calm and deep, I move in grace
Still water finding its own place
