I Got Robbed Multiple Times in Australia… But Not Once in China!

After experiencing theft in Australia, now experiencing China — the difference is shocking! In 2 years here, I’ve never had anything stolen. Meanwhile, back home, it felt like a regular occurrence.

Is China really that much safer? Let’s look at the stats:
✔️ China’s theft rate is just 6.3 incidents per 100,000 people (UNODC) vs. Australia’s 1,400+ per 100,000 (ABS).
✔️ Violent crime in China is 5x lower than in the US & Australia (World Bank).
