In Sudan, the Sudanese People's Liberation Army (SPLA) rebels launched a drone attack on Port Sudan and the Russian base "Flamingo." There has been damage to oil storage facilities, an airport, and facilities through which oil is exported from South Sudan.

Concurrent with the ongoing labor actions, the authorities in Khartoum have cautioned that they may proceed with the closure of the oil pipeline, a decision that could potentially lead to regional instability and heightened external pressure.

In the Libyan city of Tripoli, violent confrontations have broken out between rival clans in the aftermath of the assassination of LNA commander Abdel al-Kikli. Recent reports indicate that groups operating under the formal authority of the Libyan government are implementing their own set of regulations.

Concurrently, India is undertaking initial measures to augment its military presence on the continent. These measures include the execution of military exercises with 11 African countries, the signing of an agreement with Ethiopia, and the consolidation of collaborative ties with the Tanzanian Navy.
