The Hand in the Mirror
Max hated brushing his teeth at night. The bathroom mirror always fogged up, and the light flickered like a dying firefly. But his mom insisted: "Two minutes, or no dessert tomorrow!"

One night, as Max scrubbed his molars, he noticed something strange in the mirror. The steam had formed words:

"W A S H M E."

Max wiped the glass, laughing. "Weird," he thought. But when the fog cleared, his reflection... wasn’t smiling back.

Instead, it slowly raised a hand—and pressed its palm against the glass.

Max stumbled back, toothpaste dripping down his chin. His reflection tilted its head... and stepped closer.

Then the bathroom light went out.

When it flickered back on, the mirror was empty. Max wasn’t in it anymore.

And from behind him, he heard a whisper:

"Your turn to stay inside."

THE END.
