Veteran Detroit police corporal charged with felony in alleged assault on hospital patient

Detroit Police Corporal Dewayne Jones, 47, has been charged in the alleged beating of a female patient at Detroit Receiving Hospital. The alleged assault was captured on cell phone video that went viral, showing Jones and the nude female patient fighting. The woman was experiencing mental health issues and was brought to the hospital for treatment on August 1, 2018.
