Your Marriage Isn’t Broken — It’s Just Blended

This morning, I accidentally poured leftover tea and coffee into the same mug.
(Yes. I was in a hurry. Yes. My husband leaves cups everywhere.)
I sipped it. And you know what? It didn’t taste like tea.
It didn’t taste like coffee.
It tasted like something… else. Unexpected.
Not bad. Not amazing. But oddly… intriguing.

It made me think of marriage.

You enter into it thinking, “We’ll blend well. We’ll be on the same page.”
But what happens when your rhythms clash? When your personalities don’t line up?
What happens when you realize you're not tea or coffee anymore — you're something completely new?

Marriage isn’t about becoming the same. It’s about learning how to blend.
To stay open. To sip slowly.
To let go of the idea that you’ll always be perfectly compatible…
And lean into the beauty of becoming something together that neither of you could be alone.

If your marriage feels like a confusing mix right now — it doesn’t mean it’s broken.
It might just mean you’re in the process of becoming something new.

And if you need help navigating that blend, I’d love to walk with you as your marriage coach and relationship therapist. Let’s turn that unexpected mix into something meaningful.
