Strange anomaly reverses course

The anomaly I've been watching for several hours over Russia that appears to be the highest level of precipitation on radar signatures was moving east. then around midnight it reversed and started going back west hitting the same spots in Ukraine that it did on the way east. I have no idea what this really is.
