Fresh Asparagus on the way

One of the first cash crops of the season is beginning to sprout, Asparagus. Farmers are optimistic that this season’s crop will be a good one. Warm temperatures and moist conditions are ideal for Asparagus, and this week promises both. Warmer nights also help mitigate frost, a concern for asparagus farmers throughout May.
