The Apostle Peter wanted to know what earthly benefits awaited him and his fellow apostles for giving up everything to follow Jesus. The Lord's reply told Peter that in the future when Christ assumes his earthly throne, that the 12 will get to sit on their thrones as well. And in the meantime, everything that any true believer owned was theirs to use while on mission for Christ.
