In this video, I take on what initially seems like a standard tree removal job in Northern Savonia, Finland — clearing two large birches from the yard of a historic frontline house, built after World War II. But as I start cutting, things take a surprising turn.

Using my Stihl MS500i with a 28-inch bar, I carefully apply Scandinavian notching, back cuts, and even a plunge cut to navigate the challenges of this old and oddly structured tree. With tight spacing, nearby utility buildings, electric lines, and limited fallback room, precision was everything.

But the real twist? It’s hidden inside the tree.
