Psalm 23 is about not being afraid and our individual cups running over. Years ago, I declared a prayer that the Lord's glory would overflow the cup and spill out like a deluge and wash away the evil that was rising. I prayed that the Lord would cleanse our hearts and minds and that His glory would be released like a river and flow. I asked for the Lord to forgive us and to take the reins and rule and reign. I asked that the Lord would restore our souls and change hearts and minds. I said the prayer at a really dark time in my life. It was more of a plea and filled with desperate despair. Then the prayer became more of a declaration and an announcement. I felt suddenly empowered and became optimistic. That's why I refuse to give up. The Lord heard my prayer. He's waiting for yours.
