Numbers Part 5: The Goodness of God

How should we view civil laws in the Old Covenant? We look at the 1689 and the hermeneutical principles necessary to read and interpret civil laws properly. In the very next set of verses, God declares his goodness, and instructs us to do so. This giving of a good word (or 'benediction) to the people of God was a tool that God used to set his people apart from the culture around us - it still is today thousands of years later.
