Richie Caruso served in the US Marines. After that, he worked in California's Department of Corrections. During that time, he worked in the CHU program. That led to a massive 60 Minutes story about the violence and murder being committed by DOC officers in the CHUs. Richie battled his peers, the CDOC, the state, the FBI...at every turn, Richie fought back with truth and evidence. This experience changed how Richie lived.
