*About the Project:*

"Sirena" is my seventh AI music video — and this time, I went for something out of my comfort zone: an underwater romance.

The main goal was to improve image and animation quality. I gave myself more time, but still ran into issues, especially with character consistency and my own technical limits.

---

*Key Challenges:*

1. Character Consistency – I trained Flux Loras and tried face swapping, but nothing really worked.
2. Legs, Hair, Body Shape – Always problems, even from behind.
3. Clothing Consistency – Still hit-or-miss despite a lot of work fixing the images.
4. Tiling Artifacts – Upscaling with Flux caused issues I only spotted late.
5. Mental Burnout – 18 days in, I was tweaking pixels no one would ever care about.

*Tools & Workflows:*

Full workflows and info on the process here - https://comfyworkflows.com/workflows/...

---

*Software:*

ComfyUI (Flux, Wan 2.1)
Krita + ACLY for inpainting
Topaz (FPS interpolation only)
Reaper DAW for storyboarding
Davinci Resolve 19 for final cut
LibreOffice for shot tracking and planning

---

*Time Investment:*

13 days to first rough cut, the rest fixing stuff.
1 day colour grading
1 day fixing final cut issues

Total: *18 days* not including rebuilding comfyui once, fixing issues, and work on Wan loras that didnt make the cut.

I personally think its better to stick to 8 days max. The diminishing return on improvements after that aren't worth it until character consistency is cracked.

---

*Hardware:*

RTX 3060 (12GB VRAM)
32GB RAM
Windows 10

---

*Final Thoughts:*

Character consistency remains the biggest hurdle. Face swapping, Lora training — all hit limits. Underwater + low-res footage didn’t help.

Prompting and camera control with Wan 2.1 was a constant fight. In the end, it’s not as photorealistic as I wanted, but I learned a lot of what not to do.

Also, trying for romance is really cheesy, but I thought that would be the case. It is what it is. I'll take the hit on this one and move on.
