A compassionate Border Patrol agent found Chase dehydrating in the 120-degree desert heat. It took days to help him because he was so afraid of people. She chased him for miles, hence his name! Then, through our network of Border Patrol and ICE agents, Chase came here to be loved at our 115-acre care for life sanctuary.

Leo takes his pictures here for his monthly letter and Chase was hardly "scary or mean." Love has changed him to a sweet, and even shy, boy.
