The Clay Pigeon (1949)

Directed by Richard Fleischer and written by Carl Foreman, based on a true story. The film stars real-life couple Bill Williams and Barbara Hale. The story follows Jim Fletcher (Williams), a former Navy veteran and ex-POW, who awakens from a coma in a naval hospital only to learn he's accused of treason and the murder of his friend, Mark Gregory. Suffering from amnesia, Fletcher escapes the hospital to clear his name.
