The Batman: Part 2 CANCELLED? Matt Reeves LEAVES Project

Several rumors have been swirling about Matt Reeves and the future of The Batman: Part 2. It has been delayed several times, most recently until October 2027 and now it is confirmed that Reeves is no longer set to direct the film.

It's an open secret that James Gunn despises what Matt Reeves has constructed with The Dark Knight. Given the DCU is bereft of a live action Caped Crusader, you can connect the dots as to why this decision was made and whether or not it will ever go into production. Smart money would have to be on The Penguin season 2 never happening and Robert Pattinson never having to don the cowl ever again.
