If you care about our veterans and wish to help

reduce their horrific suicide rate – Save The Date!

Jerry Ashton, co-founder of the famed charity RIP Medical Debt, and founder of End Veteran Debthttps://endveterandebt.org/, will be guest speaker at Ilene Proctor’s “Great Minds Salon” Series on Sunday, April 13, between 4 and 6 pm.at the new home of Jan Goodma RSVP REQUIRED: Write to ilenepr@sbcglobal.net or call 310-721-2336.

A proven force at raising funds and awareness, Jerry has attracted enough in donations over the past 10 years to abolish over $15B (yes, billion!) in medical debt for 12M (yes, million!) Americans from coast to coast.

In late 2023, he launched the 501(C)(3) charitable foundation End Veteran Debt (EVD) to apply his dedication and focus to creating a similar positive impact within the veteran community—this time to relieve all forms of oppressive, unpaid debt, not solely medical.

“Very few people are aware that debt leads to veteran suicide,” Jerry says. “We’re talking about up to 44 deaths per day! A substantial percentage of these suicides can be reduced. We intend to do exactly that with the help of passionate, like-minded Americans.”

Co-guest speaker, EVD spokesman Mike Williams, Army Special Operations combat medic with multiple tours of duty overseas, will share his first-hand experience of service trauma and its effects.

Recently, Mike contributed an amazing musical composition called “The Price We Paid” to EVD’s fundraising mission. Those attending will hear and learn more about this piece and get personalized access to the song.
