Transformational Beauty: A Mother’s Day Message

According to Webster’s Dictionary, beauty is “the quality or group of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the senses or the mind.” It goes on to say, “often, specifically the quality of being physically attractive”
Defining beauty is very subjective and according to personal opinion. And within that ambiguous definition people strive to be “beautiful.” Millions of dollars are spent every year (by both men and women) on products, procedures, and surgeries to try and make themselves more beautiful. Yet we are reminded in Proverbs 31:30, “Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing.”
As we celebrate Mother’s Day, Pastor Rick leads us into an overview of the Biblical view of beauty, especially beauty in the lives of mothers as well as women in general. Today we want to consider, “Transformational Beauty.”
