Today on Cupchairs Reacts, I’m checking out Oxytocin by Better Plans—a Boston-based pop-punk/punk rock band blending raw energy, catchy hooks, and a little grunge attitude into their sound.

Better Plans are just a few songs into their journey, but their influences—blink-182, Good Charlotte, The Wonder Years—already come through with real personality. And there’s a bit of that 90s grunge looseness too, which adds something extra.

Oxytocin kicks off with a clean, memorable guitar line before building into heavy riffs and a thick, dynamic groove. Vocals are upfront and clean, but when the scream-sing pre-chorus hits, you get a real taste of the singer’s range and power.
