BRP Jose Rizal Frigate still hasn’t replaced up to now the C-Star Missile it fired in May of last Year of 2024

While watching one of the Videos of the BRP Jose Rizal (FF-150) Guided Missile Frigate of the Philippine Navy (PN) firing its Mistral 3 Surface to Air Missile (SAM) recently, I just noticed that the Ship still hasn’t replaced the C-Star Anti-Ship Missile which it fired in May of last Year of 2024 during a Military Exercise.

As per the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) Database, a total of 15 C-Star Missiles were supposed to have been delivered to the Philippines already in 2022. If this Data is true, then we have around 7 Missiles still in Storage somewhere.

It makes me wonder why it is taking so long for the PN to replace that Missile, especially since we are in heightened Tensions against China under this Administration of Bong Bong Marcos (BBM), and that the BRP Rizal has been actively patrolling the South China Sea (SCS) also.

Note that the Jose Rizal class Frigates only has four of these Missiles that are ready to fire each, so they need to have these Missiles restocked as soon as possible so they will have their maximum number of Missiles ready at any given time, considering that they don’t have a lot of them.
