DIY Kitchen Counter Install - Butcher Block

Today, we install our kitchen counters. We decided to use butcher block. We wanted the simple natural look, feel, and color of wood to match with the trim on the window. Our budget was modest so expensive stone counters were not possible, and we are not fans of the homogenized look of formica. These simple wooden slabs are assembled from smaller pieces of wood so do not require exceptionally large trees to produce since they are a glue up of smaller pieces. In the end we were glad that this less expensive option was available since it matches perfectly with the vision we were building.
