By the close of April, Russian military forces in the Dzerzhinsk direction augmented their pressure on Ukrainian formations from the flanks. A series of successful attacks by the RF Armed Forces resulted in the breaching of the defense lines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the east and west of Dzerzhinsk. This development enabled the formation of "claws" by the RF Armed Forces, with the objective of encircling the enemy south of Konstantinovka.

By May 1, the RF Armed Forces had cleared the western part of Druzhba from Ukrainian formations and expanded the zone of control in Dachnoye. Concurrently, aerial assaults persisted on the outskirts of Dylee vka in the eastern sector, leveraging the topography provided by the surrounding forest belts.

By May 5, the enemy's defense lines in the area had been breached, and Russian troops engaged in battles for the remaining positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Dachnoye and the southern part of Dyleevka.

On the western front, Russian military forces initiated a major offensive operation targeting enemy positions to the north of Tarasovka on May 2. In the course of a series of attacks, the armed forces of Ukraine suffered a significant setback when most of their troops in Alexandropol were neutralized by attack aircraft. This was followed by a period of intense engagement between the opposing forces on the eastern outskirts of Novoolenovka, where the attackers successfully penetrated the Ukrainian formations.

A rapid attack on Novoolenovka led to the destabilization of the defense of Ukrainian formations in the area. It is imperative to note that the vector and pace of the Russian offensive in the Dzerzhinsk direction will exacerbate the position of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in two proximate directions.
