Doug Ford dispels talk of feud with Danielle Smith, maintains he's against Alberta separation

Ontario Premier Doug Ford reiterated his opinion on Alberta’s potential separation from Canada saying he’s completely against it.

“Let’s continue making sure we unite the country, not divide the country,” Ford told reporters Wednesday after confirming he and fellow Conservative, Albera Premier Danielle Smith, “get along.”

Ford said he believes “there’s this big misnomer that we don’t get along,” due to their sometimes-differing opinions and priorities based on their provinces.

While Smith spoke on their “very respectful relationship” Tuesday, admitting to their differences, she said, “I don’t tell him how he should run his province, and I would hope he doesn’t tell me how I should run mine.”
