Trump Attorney General Pam Bondi let out a stunned laugh when a reporter asked about Rep. James Comer’s (R-KY) rant suggesting the FBI’s Jeffrey Epstein files are being destroyed.

Deceased rape criminal Jeffrey Epstein has been the subject of many a conspiracy theory, none of which were quelled when Bondi’s office ostentatiously released a set of thick Epstein binders that angered even supporters for their insufficiency.

Comer turned up the heat with an appearance on The Benny Show this week in which, among other things, he ranted that “they’re probably in there shredding documents as we speak.”

“I don’t think the Department of Justice has them or at least the attorney general does not have them or she would have turned them over. The president ordered them released. The attorney general ordered them released. We all know they have not been released,” Comer said to podcast host Benny Johnson on Tuesday.

Bondi held a brief gaggle with reporters on the driveway to the West Wing of the White House Wednesday morning, during which she was asked about Comer’s comments.
