Florida Man caught in the ceiling

Palm Beach County, FL - On 12/18/24 police were flagged down by an mployee of BP Gas Station in reference to a male causing a disturbance in the restroom. BWC captured the following:

Police met with the employee who advised the male ran into the store and rushed to the restroom, almost knocking her over. A loud noise was heard from within the restroom as if the male was climbing into the ceiling. With the restroom door locked, police were able to open the employee room to find ceiling tiles all over the ground and a hole in the ceiling. Due to the noises heard, the damaged ceiling, and being unable to locate suspect, there was reason to believe he was in the ceiling hiding. After searching the roof and multiple commands given by police, the suspect climbed down from the ceiling. He was read Miranda Warnings and advised he was hiding because he heard gunshots. He stated he got scared and ran for safety and believed this to be the best spot to hide. He admitted to being under the influence of alcohol and has drug paraphernalia found on his person. He was trespassed and charged with Criminal mischief.
