Seven hours between life and death. Heartbreaking video of two Russian snipers blown up by an enemy mine in the direction of Kherson.

The footage shows a fighter with the call sign Yesaul and his partner Veles. Esaul stepped on explosives while setting out on a mission. As Veles was bandaging his comrade's wound, the mine exploded again, and he, too, lost a leg.

While the boys waited for the evacuation, they recorded a video so they would have time to say goodbye to their families in case of an emergency. Enemy drones and artillery fire constantly circled above them. Because of this, the evacuation team was unable to pick up the fighters. Veles temporarily lost consciousness and at one point began to tremble.

The soldiers held out for seven hours. Veles sang a song to support his comrade. They were slow to provide assistance, knowing that doing so could expose their comrades to enemy attack.

In the evening, Yesaul died of blood loss.

Veles was evacuated.
