It aint a bug , it's how the game was made to be. So that people would play the other 2 paths with different 'builds'
You could ofcourse use it to increase to boost your stats but it will not allow you to unlock the 100% attributes achievement.
This goes for +15 strength or +6 warhammer of the Titanlord hammer.

Note: There are 3 outcomes for Sara (the woman that also washed asshore).

1: When the player talked to Jan the Hunter , Sara will go to the Don's Camp and will be hanging around Rhobart on his Swamp Farm. (The Don)

2: When the player talked to Tristan the Novice , Sara will go to Severin's Farm / Tilda's Farm. (The Convocation of Mages)

3: When the player does nothing [when entering Chapter 2] , Sara will be eaten alive by monsters and thus killed. (The Order)

You cannot talk to Command Carlos nor Inquisitor Mendoza for additional options although it was certainly a possibilty!

Bonus Note: Why do you not see the cheevo's pop-up anymore?
During recording of the gameplay the 'capture display' was tripping the fuck out , making my content into a blinkering mess.
Which forced me to redo 1 episode [the previous episode] and continue with fullscreen capture option in OBS!
But the in-game pop-up is connected with the STEAM one , so it's not the end of time :)

Display capturing seems to be fine now , but Risen have been almost fully recorded via FULLSCREEN capture mode.
And thus alt tabbing , cheevo pop-ups , etc are not shown.

It all seems well now but it is what it is.
Make sure to keep an eye on the Cheevo progress tab :)
