Democrat operative Jen Psaki champions the big bureaucratic system as “normal,” claiming it’s vital for national security through agency debates. She said, “In a normal White House, there's a system in place, a big bureaucratic system that has been working for Democratic and Republican administrations to keep something like this from happening... People from the Intel community in the State Department and the Defense Department all have different objectives and things they need to raise.”
