In a recent interview with the Pro Boxing Fans YouTube Channel, Bob Arum explained what's destroying boxing. Bob says Turki Alalshihk's guaranteeing fighters big fight purses to step in the ring incentivizes fighters not to compete.

We saw a perfect example of this with the fights between Devin Haney, Jose Ramirez, Ryan Garcia, Rolly Romero, and Canelo and William Skull. The Fatal Fury card was a dud.

Bob explained how Sugar Ray Leonard and Oscar Dela Hoya performed inside the ring. He said they had a reason to give the crown an entertaining fight.

Why? Because Dela Hoya and Leonard stood to make extra money from the pay-per-view in their next fights. When fighters don't have to perform to make extra money, why should they?

If I were a fighter and a walking lick like Turki Alalshikh paid me a boatload of money not to compete, why should I compete? We saw the total opposite with Inoue. He makes more than 99% of American fighters but competes in the ring.

I initially thought Turki Alalshikh overpaying fighters to fight for him was good. However, I was wrong. What's the point of overpaying a fighter if he's going to run inside the ring and not compete?

A few days ago, someone said in my chat that Turki is a walking lick. He was right. Fighters like Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk, Inoue, Daniel Dubois, Terence Crawford, and Anthony Joshua make lots of money inside the ring, but they compete.

Fighters like Tank Davis, Boots Ennis, Brian Norman Jr, Bam Rodriguez, Errol Spence, Keyshawn Davis, Abdulla Mason, Cool Boy Steph compete. They put on entertaining fights.

Fighters who run like Usain Bolt inside the ring and call it the sweet science are frauds. They don't deserve the time of day from boxing fans. My focus from this point forward will be to focus on fighters who compete and sh*t on the fighters who run inside the ring.

If you're a runner and a track star, you deserve to be ridiculed by the fans. No more pay-per-view fights for runners. Turki Alalshikh is a sucker that likes to get licked—no Diddy.

I don't blame fighters like Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia, and Canelo Alvarez for taking the money and running. They should take it if Turki is foolish enough to pay the fighters above a boatload of money for nothing.

As for Bob Arum, he's right. What do you think about what Bob Arum had to say? Let's talk about it.
