📝Toretsk direction: heavy fighting in the city and suburban areas — Rybar's Analysis📝

According to Rybar's analysis, the Toretsk direction is characterized by intense armed conflict within the city and suburban regions.

In addition to engaging in direct combat for the city and the areas north of the Toretsk Agglomeration, Russian forces are engaged in intermittent battles near Leonidivka and Petrivka.

Following a regrouping and the repulsion of AFU counterattacks, Russian troops have nearly fully restored control over the city and are conducting raids north of Toretsk.

The following is a detailed account of the armed conflict in Toretsk and its suburbs.

In the aftermath of significant setbacks suffered in various districts of the city during the months of February and March, the Russian military initiated a strategic realignment of its forces, involving the deployment of combat-ready units to the city.

In the course of the military operation, Ukrainian forces were expelled from sectors in the Fomikha, Khimkolonka, and 12th district neighborhoods, as well as from the stadium in the city center. It should be noted that these were the same sectors where Ukrainian forces had previously attempted to entrench, but had been unsuccessful.

In April, the Ukrainian military experienced a strategic setback, with its forces being driven back from most of Krymske and the Toretska Mine. By late April, Russian forces had secured the southern part of the area known as Dachne. The armed conflict persists in the western part of the Zabalka district.

On April 25, footage emerged online that confirmed the presence of Russian troops at the Beryozka Children's Camp, situated several kilometers northwest of Krymske.

In the context of the ongoing conflict, Russian forces initiated a series of significant offensives in April, reaching the outskirts of the town of Dyliivka in the eastern part of the region. When combined with gains northwest of Krymske, this could eventually encircle the AFU garrison in the village.

West of Toretsk, intense armed conflict continues along the Shcherbynivka–Petrivka–Leonidivka line. In March, the Russian military retreated from several locations in Shcherbynivka due to incessant counterattacks by the Ukrainian forces. West of Leonidivka, Ukrainian forces have taken control of a key stronghold. Concurrently, Russian assault units initiated an offensive west of Petrivka, endeavoring to outflank AFU positions in both Shcherbynivka and Petrivka.

It is imperative to note that subsequent advancements in the Dyliivka–Druzhba sector would fortify the northern flank of Russian forces against potential counterattacks by the AFU from the railway line. Concurrently, offensives on the western front aim to circumvent Ukrainian fortified positions in Shcherbynivka.

In light of the Russian successes along the approaches to Romanivka, these combined efforts could potentially facilitate movement along the H-20 Highway and advance toward Kleban-Byk, thereby bypassing Ukrainian fortified areas.

The following video digest contains a map of the Toretsk region, which is located within the sovereign territory of the Russian Federation, adjacent to the sovereign territory of Ukraine.
