Until Dawn - Amazing Visuals, Terrible Script

Until Dawn is a visually striking horror film with a killer concept—surviving a haunted night stuck in a supernatural time loop—but it’s ultimately undone by weak writing, flat characters, and inconsistent world-building. Despite director David F. Sandberg’s signature style and strong atmosphere, the film feels like a missed opportunity, offering flashes of potential buried under a messy, frustrating script. While there are moments of genuine tension and creativity, it’s not enough to overcome the lack of depth or clarity. A great idea, poorly executed.
