LIVING WITH HUMBLE HONOR IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES

Proverbs 29:23 New King James Version
23 A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.

GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA MY DEAR FRIENDS!!!
I have to say that I found this parable that I read out of this morning scripture rather interesting, as well as a bit convicting, because I struggle with showing humility in every circumstance. Yes, I admit it, I struggle with my ego! Don't we all? I struggle with it because I've lived always pushed to the side, made to feel invisible, made to feel inferior, and when I started learning to stand up for myself, in some ways I took it too far. That's why I constantly have to ask God to help me live in His humble strength in every circumstance. I also was blessed to have some very godly, humble people in my life, who showed me that there is strength in humility, and that's something I continue to praise God for. I think that's why the questions from this morning's devotional, were not only challenging, but also motivating to my heart, and I had to share them with you tonight. Please read these questions carefully, and I pray that God speaks to you through them as He’s doing with me.

When do you struggle to surrender your own place of honor?

Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things that God showed me from not just this passage of scripture, but from other areas out of God's Word, on what true, honorable, humility is, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you, challenges your heart to want to be humble in every circumstance. So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I pray that you take time to think very carefully what true humility is in every circumstance, and not be afraid to live it. I pray that if you have someone in your life that embodies the true, honorable, kind of humility that Jesus calls all of us to, that you pattern yourself after Christ first, and that person second. I also pray that if you're struggling to surrender your “own place of honor”, whether it's somebody trying to take credit for work that you've done, some innate desire to want to be first, to want to be top dog, to want to be number one, thinking that you're in some kind of serious competition when you're really not, that you come before the Lord, and ask Him to help you be willing to surrender that place of honor, that whatever it is that you are clinging to that you believe makes you “the best” and submit it to Him. I encourage you to think about the ultimate example in humility that is found in Jesus Christ out of Philippians 2:8-11, and that you prayerfully live that out every day. I'm not saying to allow yourself to be a doormat, or allow people to cruelly humiliate you, but live in His humble strength.
