Do We Need ANOTHER Resident Evil 1 Remake?

Resident Evil came out on the PlayStation (PS1) in 1996, followed by a remake on the Nintendo Gamecube in 2002. This version is available in HD on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, but rumors are swirling that another remake is in the works at Capcom. Are we at the point where remaking remakes is a reality?
