(Scott Ritter is really blunt today about how Trump is blowing it negotiating 'peace' on multiple fronts. He reminds us that Trump did significant things in his first term to build up Ukraine militarily to eventually go after Russia, which means that this is Trump's war & not Biden's. Although Trump talks about 'peace', he really wanted to break up Russia, which isn't going to happen. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is a serious problem. He is trying to position himself for the next presidential election and is not fully supporting Trump's peace initiatives. Scott is blunt & correct about what Trump should do if he really was serious about 'peace', yet he probably won't do this for reasons that Scott explains.

I even understood prior to what Scott says here that Trump's statements about Putin wanting ALL of Ukraine were false. He will take it if that is the only way for peace, yet he has made it clear what Ukraine must agree to and implement to remain a country. Crimea, Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, & Luhansk are already legally part of Russia & are not negotiable. The longer this SMO continues, the more likely that other Russian speaking regions will vote to join Russia. If necessary, Russia will take everything East of the Dnieper River to protect Russia. — RAD)
