Just goofin' around but, having fun with the Superior Drummer 3 Legacy of Rock SDX's Amber/Vista kits. Just a little groove here with the Ching Ring.

(For the unfamiliar - Superior Drummer 3 is software + sampled sound libraries of various drums, cymbals, etc. that you can send MIDI data to, and it will "play" those drums, cymbals, etc. An "SDX" is a Superior Drummer sound eXpansion library -- ie, more drum kits, recorded in various studios, etc. to expand your library of sounds with.

With more practice I'll really have a blast with these kits!

The Ching Ring is a small ring frame with a bunch of tambourine mini-cymbals in it that is made to attach to the top of the hi-hat stem, so if you stomp on the hi-hat, it makes a tambourine like sound.

John Bonham is one of the famous drummers known for using one on some albums. The Amber/Vista kits sampled in this SDX were based on his drum set from the 1976 timeframe with two timpanis, etc. as well.

Not featured in this little groove session but I did also get the timpanis working with dynamic foot pedal tuning.
