A "How-To" guide to lying from the Propaganda Master Class Series. Featuring a story by Financial Times writers Joel Suss and Ilya Gridneff, the video highlights propaganda techniques common in main stream media, such as selective errors of omission that change the entire meaning of a story without making an outright lie. Other examples show the authors being intentionally vague, defining nothing and pretending to understand the motivations of people who might have voted for Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative Party of Canada. The story builds the narrative that nefarious rightwingers were manipulating X to prop up the Conservative party in the Canadian election, aided and abetted by Elon Musk and American rightwingers, but despite "studying" 350,000 tweets for the story, the Financial Times presents no evidence of any significant wrong-doing. The tone of the article is that rightwingers are "bombarding" social media, but it is ultimately a smear campaign to discredit and ultimately censor conservatives.
