I truly love you!!! Thank you for loving America the way we Americans were raised to love her.
We all have ancestry that built this country, and we built her strong.

Through blood, sweat, and tears.
From the hell they faced to get here, they gained even more strength to make their mark.

It didn’t have to be some grand amount of money that made Americans rich.
It was the flavor of the neighbors, the sweat on the brow of hard working men, the loving care of mothers yelling down the street that supper was ready, the baseball games that flooded the room when pop was listening, and the hot dogs on the grill for the Independance Day block party.

The simple things we remember….

The pledge of allegiance after the morning bell at school, or the plays that taught grade school children about previous presidents.

Norman Rockwell, Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, America Bandstand, John Wayne, Elvis Prestley….

I remember when the only thing we worried about was if the antenna on our tv wouldn’t glitch out, mom burning the meatloaf, or dad being pissed off because some kid left their bike in the road…..

America isn’t just a place, it is imbedded in our soul. It’s a connection to our veterans who fought the wars, the elderly that had the stories to keep you grounded, it was having parents that knew how to stick together even when times got real tough.

Life and the simplicity of gratitude and appreciation for what this beautiful country has given us has been lost by some… but, not by me… and certainly not by
