Dupuytren's contracture
Dupuytren's contracture is a benign condition that causes the palm's tissue to thicken and shorten, pulling fingers into a bent position towards the palm. The ring and pinky fingers are most commonly affected, but it can impact both hands simultaneously. The condition progresses slowly over months or years, and there's no known cause. Early signs: Painless nodules appear in the palm, often along the ring finger, and may cause the surrounding skin to dimple.

This info has been changed over the years, it was first a genetic disorder that only northern Europeans got.. another LIE!
