It begins not with an assassin, but with a brawl.

The city is Firenze, better known to the modern world as Florence. It's the late 15th century, and the golden age of the Renaissance is in full bloom. Art, architecture, and ambition fill the streets — but behind the beauty lies blood and betrayal.

In the opening moments of Assassin’s Creed II, we meet a young Ezio Auditore da Firenze brash, witty, and still very much a boy. He’s not yet the Assassin we’ve come to admire, but the fire is already there, burning just beneath the surface. It sparks into life when Ezio and his gang of friends clash with the sons of the Pazzi family, igniting a street brawl that’s as much about pride as it is about power.

Ezio returns home to a warm, bustling household: his elegant mother Maria, his stern but caring father Giovanni, his ever-supportive sister Claudia, and his ailing younger brother Petruccio, whose simple wish for feathers becomes a quiet moment of humanity amidst the noise of city life.

But something lingers in the air a tension, a shadow. Giovanni is involved in something deeper, something dangerous. He carries letters, whispers warnings, and keeps secrets. And as Ezio runs rooftop errands and delivers messages, he unknowingly walks into a world of political plots and ancient rivalries.

This is the spark that lights the fire.
This is not just the start of a game, it’s the beginning of a legacy. Ezio’s journey begins here, on the streets of Firenze.
