Maryland FedEx Driver Saves Flag From Strong Winds

A FedEx driver is beingpraised for taking time to properly fold an American flag after the wind knocked over a flagpole outside a Glen Burnie home. The driver—who is a former Marine—was delivering packages when he noticed the flag on the ground, picked it up and folded it. You can see on the video that the driver first tried to raise the flag himself before he took the flag, wrap it properly and making it to the porch so it could be on a safe place.

The homeowner posted this video on the Internet after he was amazed by it and wanted to share with the world the good deed of this driver. After that, he found out that the driver is a former marine.

The flagpole had been blown down in front of their house due to a windy day. The name of this amazing man is Mike King, who is a FedEx delivery driver and ex-marine knew that it was the right thing to do and his action was genuinely inspiring.

"He stopped and took time out of what (is) surely one of his busiest delivery weeks (after Cyber Monday) to pick up our flags and fold them and place them safely on a box that was on our porch," Cook said. And also he took the opportunity to thank Mr. King for doing that, and they were happy that Kind is receiving the right recognition.

When Mr. King saw the post, he took the chance to give his comment to this situation saying: "Would have done better justice for Lady glory if the wind wasn't gusting at 50. I couldn't just drive by and do nothing."

Even though this is just a small deed, it says a lot which he is as a person. Marines, also known as naval infantry, are typically an infantry force that specializes in support of maritime and army operations at sea and on land and air, as well as the execution of their actions. They are the heroes who make the country safer, better and a place where we want our kids to grow up.

The marines go on a noble path and also on a demanding journey. They are ready physically and mentally to serve the country ant the people. They go through intense pieces of training. They are amazing people who deserve all the respect.

Being a marine means being apart from your family, wife, kids and that must be hard for them. But, when they come back, the happiness is endless for them and their loved ones.
