University of Cincinnnati students critical of alerts amid shooting

In dorms, apartments, libraries and fraternity houses, University of Cincinnati students spent more than an hour Thursday night hiding from what the subject line of a campus-wide email alert described as an "ACTIVE SHOOTER." All capital letters. Many knew there had been shots fired on campus for nearly 20 minutes before the email's 11:33 arrival.
