Falaco Soliton Experiment - Sustained Vortex Structure in Water

Bob Greenyer gave a short demonstration of the "Falaco Soliton" phenomena in a swimming pool in Florida for Randall Carlson, Bradley Young and myself. This simple experiment shows a simple function of nature - how two opposing vortexes form a standing wave which can sustain it's geometry and velocity over time.

This is an easy experiment that you can replicate yourself at home using a plate and a body of water.
