Five people were rescued after spending 36-hours in an alligator-infested swamp after their plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Bolivia on the way to Trinidad.

While awaiting rescue, they ate local cassava flour one of the passengers had brought but the group couldn’t drink water or go anywhere because of the alligators.
