When someone we love leaves this world, it’s not death that shatters us.

It’s everything that follows.

The empty chair. The unanswered calls.
The birthdays they’ll never celebrate, the dreams they’ll never chase.

It’s the memories that sneak up on us, the songs that suddenly feel too heavy to hear.
It’s the words we never said, and the moments we thought we had more time for.

It’s passing by their favorite places and realizing they’re not just gone — they’re nowhere.

Their laughter fades, their hopes disappear, and their life — a life still unfinished — becomes a story we can only tell in past tense.

We question everything.
Did we love enough?
Could we have held on a little tighter?

But deep inside, we know: some goodbyes are written long before we’re ready.

When someone you love leaves, part of you leaves too.
A part you can never rebuild, a chapter you can never rewrite.

What remains is the hollow space they once filled — a silence that stretches on forever.

And sometimes, it’s not the goodbye that hurts the most…

It’s the life that should have continued — but didn’t.
