Super risky! To have phalaenopsis orchids drenched in water, be it because of rain, or watering by foliar spraying, either way, both situations increase the risk of stem rot or crown rot, OR both! However, in my case, I am taking the risk because my phalaenospis orchids have not seen this much light in the past 6 months, October 2024 - April 2024. They also have not had any fertilizer or supplements during that time period because of the low light levels, so, while some of them have grown new leaves, the new leaves are not what they are supposed to look like. The risk of getting phalaenopsis orchids wet in low temperatures is high, however, I am taking the gamble because they are getting much more light outdoors than they did / or would do indoors. Phalaenopsis schilleriana does not have a spike, also because of low light levels, but goodness me, the 2 new leaves of the seasons are stunners!! #orchids #orchideen #orchideenpflege #orquideas #tips #tricks #tipsandtricks #beginners #tutorial
