Macron Confronts Saudi Crown Prince: ‘You Never Listen to Me’

In a video posted by the Saudi Gazette newspaper, Macron and MbS can be seen speaking quietly.

“Don’t worry,” MbS can be heard saying.

“I do worry,” Macron replies. “I am worried.”

“You never listen to me,” the French president then says.

“I will listen, of course,” MbS replies.

“I am a man of my word,” Macron adds.

It’s unclear what the two were discussing in the clip.

The CIA has reportedly assessed with high confidence that MbS ordered the murder of Khashoggi, a Saudi dissident and writer, and that members of the crown prince’s inner circle carried out the brutal killing.
